COUSINKATE is a Los Angeles based melodic alternative pop band, led by twin sisters Corinna and Isabelle Cott, and their musical partner Brian Florian.
Cousin Kate frequently mixes German into their predominately English lyrics and their music shows European influences.

Inspired by the belief in the connection of everything, they portray their love for music with many harmonies and uplifting lyrics.

Corinna and Isabelle grew up in a small town near Frankfurt, Germany, where they performed in front of audiences from the age of eight, singing German folk and classical music such as ‘Der Abendsegen’ by Engelbert Humperdinck.

Their parents were both music lovers and often sang and danced spontaneously, allowing the twins to grow up with a strong and expressive connection to music.

Corinna met Brian Florian in Seattle while walking along the street singing with a friend. Brian had just come back from a musical tour in Los Angeles and was inspired to write original music. When he heard Corinna’s voice, they struck up a conversation and soon after, they formed a songwriting partnership together.

Under the name 'Florian Cott' Corinna and Brian recorded their song Through The Air which is used in an HBO TV show airing internationally.

Isabelle signed with the German record label 'Polydor' and recorded under the name ‘sunrise’.

When she joined the duo, Cousin Kate began.

With the addition of Haim Russi on drums, Suzanne Birrell on bass , and Tracie Turnbull on cello Cousin Kate has performed in a variety of venues in and around Los Angeles.
