The 9th annual #LUCKYRICE18 Breaking Bao Feast returns to DTLA on July 26th (7-10pm), hosted by the irrepressible world-renowned Chef Susur Lee, who paves the future of global Asian culture with his sons Levi, Kai and Jet Bent-Lee.  

At this month’s LA Feast, expect off-menu family dishes from Food & Wine Magazine’s Best New Chef and a nomination for Rising Star from the James Beard Foundation Jonathan Yao of Kato, People Magazine’s Sexiest Male Chefs in America Tin Vuong of Little Sister, Star Chefs “Rising Star” Award Winner Brandon Kida of Hinoki & the Bird amongst all of our favorite L.A. food stars. The entrance fee includes all-you-can-eat tastes of participating dishes along with Perrier, Kirin Beer, Suntory Toki Whisky, Kikori Rice Whiskey, an assortment of sakes, and more.

In between, LUCKYRICE will crisscross the country to serve up OTAKUISINE, a dinner series devoted to “Asian food obsessives” in San Francisco (Sep), Houston (Oct) and Miami (Oct).

Tickets are on sale at www.luckyrice.com, Admission tickets are $150. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to our non-profit partner, Project Origami Inc.

The Festivities will travel across the country to New York, where it will hold its own Intergenerational Feast in November.

  LUCKYRICE DEBUTS 2018 WITH A LOW- WASTE EVENT!

We are happy to announce our initiative to host a low-waste (almost zero waste to landfill) event at our LA Feast. By finding alternatives to plastic disposables, we are using compostable dinnerware and cups, biodegradable wristbands, and commercially composting these items with all green waste, as well as donating any uneaten foods to Chefs to End Hunger.
