Like a banjo player and a DJ rocking a club show in a barn, Magic Giant is inspired by its mission of moving bodies and souls alike. The four piece is currently self-producing its debut EP and recently sold out its first LA show at the popular Bootleg Theater. The band previously played festivals such as Sweetlife—headlined by Phoenix, Passion Pit, and Kendrick Lamar—and Life Is Beautiful—headlined by Kings of Leon, The Killers, and Imagine Dragons—and continues to build a reputation for its powerful live shows and frequent surprise musical guests, ranging from Capital Cities' Spencer Ludwig, to Jazz phenomenon Jon Batiste. A reflection of its melting pot of cultural and musical backgrounds from Washington DC, Nashville, and Korea, the group united in Venice Beach, CA with the addition of its fourth member. The crew has evolved into a folk revival band with light electronic undertones that includes Austin Bis on lead vocals, Zambricki on mandolin and banjo, Brian Z on upright bass and acoustic guitar, and drummer and DJ, AJK. Magic Giant has been featured on media outlets ranging from NBC News to The Washington Post and was recently ranked between Beck and Tiësto on Metrolyrics' What's Trending.
